Use medium grit sandpaper to lightly sand the control
horns where they fi t into the slots of the control
surfaces. Prepare all the control horns at this time.

Use low-tack tape to tape the aileron at the wing tip.
Also tape the fl ap at the wing root. This will prevent
them from moving during the control horn installation.

Check the fi t of the fi berglass control horn in the slot
in the aileron and fl ap. The hole in the aileron control
horn for the clevis will align with the hinge line, and both
horns will fi t fl ush in the slots. Use a felt-tipped pen to
mark the front and rear edge of the control horns on the
aileron and fl ap.
Prüfen Sie die Passung der Ruderhörner in den Schlitzen.

Remove the control horns from the fl ap and aileron.
Apply low-tack tape around the slot for the fl ap and
aileron control horn. Position the tape so it is 1/32 inch
(1mm) away from the sides of the slot, as well as from
the marks made in the previous step.
